Monarch BST showcases IoT smart elevator solution – ISEE Expo, Mumbai

Monarch BST, an Inovance company, are attending the ISEE elevator expo in Mumbai for the first time where they will be showcasing new features on the NICE Elevator Integrated Solution portfolio, as well as the new IoT (internet of things) smart elevator solution which has been developed specifically for the Indian market.

The IoT elevator solution delivers three core capabilities: predictive maintenance data collection, real-time elevator status monitoring and basic control, and remote elevator test, diagnosis and commissioning capabilities. Predictive maintenance is a relatively new trend, but it will become vital to the elevator industry. Data collection is core to predictive maintenance. With good data collection, OEMs can be notified when pre-selected elevator parameters are breached, allowing maintenance to be scheduled before a failure occurs. Meanwhile, remote elevator status monitoring and basic remote control allows managers to be constantly aware of the status of an elevator. Remote elevator control can allow control of many functions, such as error reset, commissioning and diagnosis assistance, or remote control during emergency elevator operations.

At the ISEE show, Monarch BST is also presenting new features on its range of NICE Integrated Elevator Solutions. The NICE Integrated Solution is an all-in-one integrated controller and drive concept. It is designed for enhanced safety and reliability, as well as reduced cost, and allows for smooth and efficient elevator operations. New features on the NICE range, which are on display at Booth A3, include a mobile-based keypad function, and a jerk-less stopping solution. At a global level, the NICE Integrated Solution has enjoyed very strong success, with over X,000,000 installations.

The establishment of Monarch BST’s India-based research and development team is an important part of the company’s commitment to the Indian government’s Make in India scheme (Make in India is the Indian government’s initiative to support and grow India’s domestic manufacturing sector). Localised R&D means that the company can always ensure that products are tailored to local needs, enabling them to support local Indian elevator OEMs to better compete both globally and locally. Finally, Monarch BST is taking strong steps to support localised control cabinet making by our elevator OEMs and suppliers.
